FAQs
I am interested in either of the B’nai B’rith Retirement Villages. How can I get more information and specific advice?
Go to the Contact Us page on the website and you will be given a series of contact details or, if you prefer, the capacity to directly send us an email with any message you wish.
Are there any special conditions regarding residence at B’nai B’rith Retirement Villages?
A retired person is one who has reached the age of 55 or has retired from full-time employment. Go to the Waiting List Application page on the website for our Waiting List Policy.
Your local General Practitioner will need to confirm in writing that you are capable of independent living. An ACAT assessment is not required.
What is Independent Living?
Independent living does not mean that one can’t have external assistance provided by various organisations, both private and public. However, it does not allow for a person requiring overnight care. For instance many people in the Villages have cleaners; use “meals on wheels”; and, access a range of social services.
Costs associated with residence at B’nai B’rith Retirement Villages?
The principal cost associated with entry to the Villages is the Licence Fee payable on entry. Go to the Waiting List Application page on the website for our Princess Gardens Licence Fee Schedule. For Kadimah Gardens contact needs to be made directly with the Administrators.
The Licence Fee covers residence at the Villages for as long as one can maintain independent living. After seven years residence there is no entitlement to any Licence Fee refund.
Monthly recurrent charges are levied to facilitate the operation of the Village including such areas as the caretaker and garden maintenance. The only charges that you would have to meet are to cover your own electricity usage, cable TV subscription, telephone and internet access.
